Since we moved our blog, we lost all our subscribers. So if you want to keep getting our updates you’ll have to re-subscribe. I’m sorry about the inconvenience, but to try and make things a little more fun I thought I’d do a giveaway for 3 100% crocheted dishcloths in bright retro colors (see picture below)! After all who doesn’t need a little bit of bright cheery colors when washing dishes or wiping down tables? So everyone who subscribes from now through the 29th of July will be entered in the giveaway! There will be 1 winner randomly picked. The winner will be contacted via email. If I do not hear back from you within 48 hours with an address to mail the dishcloths to, I will have to randomly draw another person. And I’ll only mail the the dishcloths within the US.
I have a little story to go along with the yarn picture. I went to Wal-Mart today to get the yarn and a couple of other things and as I walked into the yarn aisle I got a feeling…an excited feeling! You see I’m not a big shopper. I don’t go shopping for clothes, shoes or decorations just for fun, but it’s like I turn into a different person when I’m shopping for yarn…I turn into a greedy yarn consumer! And while I was trying to decide which colors to get I noticed the variegated yarn seemed a little smaller, so I checked the weights and sure enough, the variegated yarns were 2 ounces, while the solid colors in the same brand and material were 2.5 ounces…and they both cost $1.77! So even though variegated does look cool, I opted for the solid colors and got little more yarn for the same price. So there’s a tip for other people who get giddy when they walk into the yarn aisle just like me!
And after shopping we went to the car and guess what Gracia said?
“Mommy, I have to go potty!”
So back into the store we went, only to find a sign in front of the bathroom saying that they were closed and we needed to go to the bathrooms in the back of the store. So I rushed back, but was having trouble finding them. An employee told me to go left, but apparently she meant her left, not mine, because the left I went only got me to the flat screens…not to the bathrooms, so I went the OTHER left, and finally found them, and I have to say Gracia made it!!! I was so proud of her! Anyways, that really has nothing to do with my blog….just thought maybe some of you other moms could relate!
PS-The subscription box is on the top right side of the screen…that is MY right!
