I’m not OCD or a perfectionist or anything, but I really do feel better when my house is neat and tidy. A small place gets cluttery feeling really quickly. Just a little bit of stuff on the floor makes the whole house seem like it’s in disarray. I thought today I’d share with you a picture of one of the spots in my house that’s bugging me:
It’s the shelf in our bathroom. One of the things on my to-do list this week is to organize it. Hopefully I’ll get around to it today. Once its neat and tidy I’ll share an after picture. I think sharing this on my blog will help motivate me. If you need some motivating before and after pictures check out Ready Set Simplify, I always enjoy seeing her progress! Do you have anything you want to clean up today or this week?

I brought a lot of order (and extra storage space) to my tiny bathroom by hanging a shoe organizer on the back of my bathroom door. Lotions, beauty products, Band-Aids, and all kinds of things go there. Because the organizer has clear pockets, I can see everything and get at it easily. It’s been a big help.
That’s a great idea! I’ve seen those shoe organizers used to organize lots of things other than shoes!
Hey! Thanks for linking to me! Blogging about my mess is SO motivating to me! I look forward to seeing your after picture!
I have an off-topic question, if that’s okay – I see the More-With-Less cookbook on your sidebar. I have that cookbook, too, but I haven’t used it that much. Do you have a few favorite recipes you can recommend?
I really like most of the articles in the front of the book, like about health and frugality. As far as recipes off the top of my head, I like their lentil soup recipe (I do it without any kind of meat) and the sopa Paraguaya (kinda like a cornbread).
