It’s getting colder. Time to pull out the winter clothes. I got these boots out of storage that I’ve had for about 4 years, but as you can see they’re a little scuffed up in the front and on the heels.

So I grabbed a black sharpie and colored in the spots. See?

Now you can only see the scuff marks if you look really close. Super simple, and definitely quicker and cheaper than going out and buying a new pair of boots!

  1. I do the exact same thing on my black shoes too. It is a quick and easy way to extend the life of them and keep them nice looking. Yours look great!

  2. I think I might try this idea!

  3. I do the same thing! It makes me so happy to see that I’m not the only one. :-)

  4. Nice! I love using Sharpies for this type of thing. As long as it’s not something you’ll see up close, it totally does the trick.

    • I can’t believe THE FRUGAL GIRL just wrote on my blog! :) :) :)
But I agree. You can still see the scuff marks on my boots if you look really close…but who really looks that close at someones feet?
