We’re all settled in here at the Missionary Training Center! Our classes start Monday and we can’t wait!

Our kitchen!

All the furniture was already here, making it so much easier to move in! I love having a window over the sink! And as you can see in the next picture we moved that little bookshelf out and put a bigger one in its place.

Cameron found this shelf for me at a consignment store for $15. It really adds a lot of shelf space and frees up my counter top.

Door to the bathroom

We don’t have a shower in our apartment. They have wash house with showers, washers and dryers. I was kinda dreading having to walk to another building to shower, but it really hasn’t been that bad.

Gracia's room

The flower light we got for $3 at a thrift store. She sleeps with it on at night for a night-light.

The other side of Gracia's room

Here’s Gracia’s closet. The curtain was the same one we used in our trailer. Her door is to the right. I love having her clothes in the bottom drawers where she can reach them herself.

This is our bedroom…

…and our closet.

Here’s our living/dinning area.

We absolutely love it! We have more space, the campus is beautiful and the best part, there are people all around!

  1. It is so lovely to see your dreams coming true! You and your husband have been diligently working towards this for a long time, and it is WONDERFUL to see all of you labors bearing fruit. After the trailer, your new place looks like a veritable palace!

With the additional room, do you think you will look into a small freezer for additional food storage?

    • I don’t think so. The freezer in the fridge is bigger than the one I had before and we’ll only be here for a year and a half. Maybe if we were living here long term I would.

  2. Glad to see you all moved in. Wishing you the best as you guys continue your dreams.

  3. So happy for you. This place looks perfect. Have fun with it!

  4. Have a wonderful first day of classes tomorrow!

  5. Wow! Looks great and glad to read that you’ve gotten yourselves set up pretty quick :)

Just wondering about this ‘wash house’. Is it like the ‘comfort stations’ you’d see at state park campground? Do you feel like you live in a dorm having to tote your shower items with you?

    • The wash house really isn’t that bad. The women’s side has 3 showers, and they all have walls and curtains, so it’s not like public or anything, but I do sometimes feel like I’m at a camp ground. :)

  6. Your place looks great!!! :D
