I have 3 tips for any of you that might be a little rough on your camera (and let me just tell you, that unfortunately I know what I’m talking about).
- Be more careful with your camera! – Okay I guess that’s a given, but some of us need that gentle reminder every so often.
- Marry someone who will glue it back together for you, or glue it yourself…but having someone else do it is a nice bonus! I had dropped my camera and the little door to where the batteries go had broken, but we saved the pieces and Cameron was able to nicely glue them back together and now it’s almost as good as new!
- Make or buy a camera case. For only about $1 and a little time I was able to make a camera case. I’m sure it’s not as padded as a store-bought one, but at least it’ll protect it a little when I’m carrying it around in my purse. I simply crocheted 2 rectangles then crocheted them together (you could also stitch them together) and then I added a button that I already had and tied on a loop of yarn to fasten to the button.
I hope these tips help you to be able to make your camera last longer and save you money!
